CE Optics Ltd.

The company has been established in 2007, as a spin-off company from the Tewati Group, at Department of Optics and Quantum Electronics, University of Szeged. Our products are related to ultrafast laser diagnostics, dispersion measurement and control, including frequency comb and carrier envelope phase.

We are located in the city of Szeged, which excels at optical and laser sciences in higher education and academic applications, including several institutions and departments of the University of Szeged as well as the Biological Research Centre. Furthermore, Szeged hosts the soon-to-be-completed attosecond laser facility, ELI-ALPS.


First Hungarian Biogas Ltd.

Our company is the first enterprise in Hungary dealing with the planning, establishment and assistance of plants operating exclusively on the basis of biogas technology.

The two cornerstones of our business approach are:

  • commitment to the introduction of professional, and the most effective operation at the given technological level;
  • complex, integrated approach, including all technical and economic aspects of biogas technology.

By being in the vanguard of scientific development, adaptation and service - both in Hungarian and international relations - we are determined to become the number one supply company of biogas plants, be it from the elaboration of the initial idea and the planning of investments, through the finding of resources to the starting and successful operating of the professional biogas producing equipment.


Hilase Ltd.

Hilase is specialised in developing, prototyping and producing instruments for measuring the concentration of gases or aerosols in various applications in accordance to the requirements of its costumers. Hilase already successfully completed commercialising an instrument family (Hilase-Ex) for the natural gas industry for measuring water vapour, hydrogen-sulphide and carbon-dioxide. The company also offers its measurement service in selected applications including

  • gas permeability measurement of polymers,
  • atmospheric water vapour and total water measuring instrument operable on research aircrafts,
  • mobile environmental monitoring station for atmospheric aerosols measurements.
The operational principle of the Hilase instruments is laser based photoacoustic spectroscopy. The unique advantages of the method are its exceptionally wide measurement range, fast response, simplicity, robustness and its long term fully automatic and trouble-free operation. Hilase was founded in 2004. It is a spin-off company of the Department of Optics and Quantum Electronics, University of Szeged, Hungary. Photoacoustic gas detection is an active research field at the Department for more than two decades. Most of the employees of the company are experts in photoacoustics with either having a PhD or a diploma thesis based on photoacoustic R&D work. Hilase is a member of the Videoton group. Videoton Holding Plc. is the 23rd most considerable EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) company in the world.

Hobré Instruments is a leader in the design, manufacture, marketing and maintenance of on-line analyzers, sample systems and complete turnkey analyzer systems. Established in 1978, our company focuses upon providing solutions for the oil and gas, (petro-)chemical, power generation, steel and food industries worldwide.

Nanocolltech Ltd.

The Szeged-based Nanocolltech Development and Technology Exploitation Ltd. was established by two individuals – Dr. Imre Dekany, Professor at the Department of Physical Chemistry and Material Science, University of Szeged and Dr. Norbert Buzas Chemist and Innovation Manager. NCT was created with the intention of developing those kinds of nanostructured materials - such as metals, metallic oxides, complex liquids, reactive nanoparticles and surfaces – which can be directly used in industrial processes, and can easily be formed into products, respectively.
