The University of Szeged has joined the Demola Global Innovation Community, within the framework of the USZ Virtus Enterprise Catalyst Program, which aims to create a young, open, multidisciplinary community that works with creative ideas and methods to solve real market problems.

Registration is now open for the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking Open Info Day and brokerage event taking place on 21 April 2016 in Brussels.

To the Gran Prize Officially established On December 12, 2012 by The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.

Annual prize awarded for outstandingly innovative solutions, papers and projects in response to the most pressing issues of our planet, in the field of environmental protection, sustainable development, design, medicine, health preservation and development and education.

To promote the international spirit of our University, we shoot a couple of new image videos about the educational and research potential of our institution.

QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has published the latest ranking of universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) with the region’s top 150 universities on Wednesday 21st October 2015. It is an excellent result that the University of Szeged (USz) is ranked on the 13th place in this ranking. With this result USz has been in the top 10 percentage.

Yet another two successful heart surgeries have been performed at the Pediatric Clinic of the University of Szeged. Two girls can return home thanks to the Gift of Life program.

After the success of the first Science without Borders Conference, the second was held in Budapest between 8-9th June.

Erwin Neher, Nobel laureate researcher and Eva Neher, the CEO of X-labs are scheduled to visit Szeged from June 11th, 2015 to 14th June. The two scientists of world fame are coming to our city upon the invitation of the Foundation for the Future of Biomedical Research in Szeged and the Szeged Scientist Academy for the fourth meeting of Nobel laureates and Talented Students.

On 2nd June, 2015, a series of presentations were given on the Szeged Laser Center at Hotel Forrás in Újszeged.

The engineering team of the University of Szeged will represent the university with its ecofriendly, innovative and customized vehicle in Rotterdam at the Shell Eco-Marathon Europe.

The consortium has received ca. 500,000 EUR EU-supported Horizon 2020 grant with the participation of the University of Szeged. The aim is to establish a molecular center of excellence and to foster clinical application of basic research.
